If you’re familiar with a lot of different paid survey companies, you’ve probably heard of Synovate at some point. It’s hard to know which of these companies are scammy and which are worthwhile. I’ve chosen to review Synovate today for you and I can assure you that Synovate is not a scam. But it will be up to you to decide, after I’ve described them, whether or not you would want to bother.

How much does Synovate pay for surveys?

First off, Synovate doesn’t pay you in cash money. This is a points company. The amount of points you’ll get for each survey varies depending on length and complexity. Every 5,000 points you get is equivalent to $5. But the good news is that you can convert your points to cash if you want.

What can you redeem your points for?

You can get a voucher code or a check. The voucher codes will be emailed to you and are good for different retailers. They will spend like actual cash money. These codes are only good for 12 months after they are issued.

Does Synovate have a sweepstakes?

Yes, they have one every month and you’re automatically entered to win just by being registered with their company. You don’t have to do anything other than just register. Every survey you do in a month also counts as an entry.

How many surveys do they send a month?

They claim to only send a few every month. They will not spam your email with constant survey invites. This could be a good or bad thing depending on how you look at it. Good if you don’t like constant emails, but bad if you really do want to get more survey invites.

Do you get anything just for signing up?

Yes, Synovate gives you 500 points just for signing up.

Is Synovate free to join?

Absolutely. And if you are ever asked to pay to sign up for any market research panel, someone is trying to rip you off. You should never ever pay to sign up to take surveys. The survey companies are the ones who should be paying you.

Is Synovate open to countries outside the U.S.?

Yes, they are although I could not find any information about which ones, so I would recommend just trying to register no matter where you’re from and see what happens.

Is Synovate worth bothering with?

Because Synovate is not a scam and you actually can convert your points to cash, this one may be worthwhile. They are certainly reputable and have been around for quite a long time. However, I would recommend using other survey sites too to maximize your earnings. You are not going to earn very much if you only focus on one survey site. There are ton of others you can sign up with listed here. The more survey panels you are a member of, the more money you can earn.
