At Hit Predictor, you can get rewards and chances at various prizes
for reviewing and rating music from your favorite artists. This is a
little different from
Slice the Pie where
you primarily only rate songs from artists who have yet to hit it big.
On Hit Predictor the music you’ll hear is new, but it is usually from
people you’ve heard of before. It’s a great way to hear the new stuff
from your favorite artists before it gets insanely popular.
How do you sign up?
Getting
an account is absolutely free and easy. You just select a screen name
and provide some other basic information. You’ll also be asked if you
have a promo code where a friend referred you to the site.
What do you get for rating music?
Well,
you don’t get cash money, which is the big minus here. But you do get
points you can redeem for things like CDs, DVDs, and other merchandise.
Hit Predictor also has raffles and giveaways going on all the time for
other things.
About the Hit Predictor Referral Program
You
can get additional points for getting your friends to sign up on Hit
Predictor. As of now, you get 25 points per friend that signs up as long
as they rate five songs after having been a member for one month.
Is Hit Predictor worth it?
If
you like listening to music and you especially like finding out about
new songs from your favorite artists, I think it is. After all, you can
sit and listen to music on Pandora or GrooveShark all day long and not
get anything in return. At least this way you are getting something even
though it’s just points you can redeem. I kind of look at it in the
same way I look at searching the web via
Swagbucks or
other search engines. If I do it with Swagbucks, at least I am getting a
chance at something. This doesn’t mean I never use other search engines
because I do, but I certainly use Swagbucks almost daily.
