With so many survey panels now paying out in mostly redeemable points, it’s always nice to know about a few that still pay in plain old cash. Survey Savvy is one such panel. The panel has been around for a long time — since 1999 — much longer than most other panels I’ve reviewed. They are operated by Luth Research, a global research company.

The Survey Savvy Panel Still Pays in Cash!

How You Get Paid

Survey Savvy will credit your account with the amount the survey you took is worth if you qualify for it and complete it. Once you have earned at least $1, you can request a payment. Payments are made via mailed check. Currently that is the only method of pay Survey Savvy uses — there’s no Paypal or Amazon option.

Frequency of Surveys

One of the biggest complaints most people have when they sign up to take surveys from various panels is lack of surveys. Survey Savvy makes no guarantees regarding how many surveys you’ll get each month. It will just depend on your demographic information and what groups of people they need responses from. Some months you may get very few surveys and other months you may see a little more. Regardless of how many you get, survey panels are not meant to replace your income so definitely just look at it as extra money.

Referral Program

If you have any friends or family members who might benefit from being part of the panel, be sure to invite them. Survey Savvy pays you incentives when the people you refer complete surveys and also when the people they refer complete surveys. This is money that could add up for you over time as an extra bonus on top of whatever pay you get for the surveys you complete.

Who Can Register?

Survey Savvy is open to the US, Canada, and many other countries worldwide. However, your geographic location will have an impact on how many survey invitations you receive.

Survey Savvy Connect

Survey Savvy has a program called Survey Savvy Connect that they started in 2009 for panelists to earn even more. This is optional and no one is required to use it. Many people don’t want to because they don’t want to install anything on their computers. Here is what Survey Savvy says about their Connect program:
SavvyConnect® is an easy to use desktop application that unobtrusively includes you in behavioral market research while you browse the Internet. When you install the software client, you help our clients better understand online behavior and can receive supplementary paid surveys for remaining active. Incentives for participating in SavvyConnect® continue to evolve as we develop the program

Feedback on Survey Savvy

Many people have respect for Survey Savvy because they are one of the few panels left out there that hasn’t switched over to redeemable points. I have personally used Survey Savvy and been paid. The pay is not instant because they mail you a check, but it will come. Most of the complaints on this panel come from people who are upset about not getting enough surveys to take and of course there are many who don’t want to be bothered about installing Survey Savvy Connect on their computers (which you do not have to do, but Survey Savvy will encourage it).
